Named for its distinctive red veins, Bloody Dock (also called Bloody Sorrel) is a leafy vegetable with a tangy, sour taste that is used to flavor soups or added fresh to salads. Also makes an easy topping for fish or chicken when sautéed with a little butter and cream. Grows well in full sun but can also take some shade, especially in our inland valleys when the summer temperatures soar. Requires regular watering.
