Palora is a unique variety of yellow-skinned dragon fruit, known for its super sweet, white-fleshed fruit. The fruit begins green and turn yellow as it matures it is oval shaped and thorned, all thorns should fall off when ripe. On average the fruit on a Palora dragon fruit weighs approximately .8 pounds.

Dragon fruit can be grown in containers or in the ground as long as they are planted in well drained soil, full-sun and trained to a trellis to support the weight of this fast growing cactus. Dragon fruit must be protected from hard freezes.

Dragon Fruit Plant Care: All of our dragon fruit plants have been greenhouse grown. When you receive your plants, please be patient in acclimating them to their new environment. This means slowly transitioning them from full shade to full sun over a period of at least three weeks. Dragon fruit is tropical fruiting cactus. Dragon fruit will not grow in cold climates, so make sure that the temperature is above 40 degrees Fahrenheit to prevent cold damage. Dragon fruit plants can be grown in large containers or the ground. Avoid overplanting into very large containers, instead gradually increase container size in relation to the plant size. We recommend a complete fertilizer during the growing season. Avoid overwatering in the winter to ensure the plant does not rot off.

Shipment and plant look good but we are not sure how many year will set fruit. Are these plant were growing by seeds?
    Hi John,
These were grown by cuttings off our Palora stock plants in the greenhouse. With proper care they should fruit within three years

Ordered 4 cuttings, all arrived in excellent condition. The supervising grad student (TA?) even wrote a thank you note, nice touch. Shipping a bit high, but it’s not their fault. Will order again.
