This mint plant has a very strong fragrance and flavor which is the basis for peppermint flavorings in food. The plant has square stems which is unique to the mint family. Some afternoon shade will keep this plant lush and full. Excellent for flavoring dishes or beverages. Makes an incredible ice cream! Can be harvested at any time.
Mints love water and do wonderful in pots, which can help contain them spreading into surrounding areas. Grow in sun to part shade. Mints flowers are excellent bee forage, so try and let some of the lavender flowers develop, if you can.
