Dragon Fruit Plant Care All of our dragon fruit plants have been greenhouse grown. When you receive your plants, please be patient in acclimating them to their new environment. This means slowly transitioning them from full shade to full sun over a period of at least three weeks. Dragon fruit is tropical fruiting cactus. Dragon fruit will not grow in cold climates, so make sure that the temperature is above 40 degrees Fahrenheit to prevent cold damage. Dragon fruit plants can be grown in large containers or the ground. Avoid overplanting into very large containers, instead gradually increase container size in relation to the plant size. We recommend a complete fertilizer during the growing season. Avoid overwatering in the winter to ensure the plant does not rot off.

Dragon fruit "Red Vietnamese"
The Red Vietnamese plant came and is very healthy. It is doing well. When it came it was very wet, the opposite of it's package mate, and wrapped in a wet paper towel, which made the packing peanuts stick to the newest growth and tore it off. The rest of plant is fine and healthy. I'd buy again, definitely. I like helping to support students, even in a small way. Looking forward to a mature plant and fruit!
